"Having sold Sandhaven Stables last year, a business I founded in 1977,my involvement as a true Bloodstock agent can now prosper. Sandhaven Stables was the first Agistment Stables in New Zealand, a specialist 'breaking-in and pre-training' establishment. The idea of which was born when on a New Zealand show jumping tour of the UK and Montreal Olympics in 1976 with my horse 'Big Red'. Along with the 'breaking-in and pre-training' for many years we produced a draft of yearlings for the Trentham and then Karaka Sales for many private clients. A sideline 'Sandhaven Thoroughbreds' - was a vendor at the initial ready to run sales, and a successful vendor for a number of years. In recent times we have been involved with Dean Hawthorne in the Challenge Bloodstock partnership as ready to run vendors. I now offer my services to find and select untried & tried racehorses under 'Joe Yorke Bloodstock' banner".
